  China Buffet has been a family favourite for years, until most recently. I've seen food spilled on the floor picked up by employees and then placed back in the trays on the steam table. Some of the food is undercooked, some is far too salty, and one favourite of mine, the egg drop soup was horrid this past week. Many of the steam table trays were nearly empty and no-one bothered to refill any of them. What I thought was chicken, well I'm not sure what it was, but it was NOT chicken. The faux crab had an odd taste to it, and the shrimp must have been marinated in bleach. The salad section only had half a dozen items to choose from, and none of them looked very fresh at all. While the tv's were on, the volume was so low it was impossible to hear much and the endless chopping in the kitchen drownded out what little could be heard from the news. Never again....

  We were visiting Sumter mall and decided to try out this restaurant. They have all the driveways blocked off so you can go get to the parking lot from mall you have to go back onto hwy just to turn right back in. When we got inside we thought it was a very nice place, it was very well decorated and the staff seemed friendly. But, then we hit the buffet and it was bad. Most items you could tell were very old, the potatoes, gravy, wasubi and other sauces had a thick hard film over it that had started to dry out and crack, You could tell they had not put out new food in a very long time. So we fixed our plates with what we could find that looked ok, and it was so discus ting. My daughter only ate pickles my son started filling sick while we were there and began vomiting by the time we got home. I spoke to the manager and even showed him around the buffet at how horrible it was. Now mind you our bill is $78 i showed him our plates with hardly any thing eaten off of it and he still charged us $50 buck My husband and i and 5 kids left still hungry. I will never go here again and I highly recommend no one else does. I supposed I should have known it would be bad when it was a holiday weekend and there were 3 cars counting ours. My family loves Chinese buffet and this was just so terrible.

  Hits the spot! When you have that Chinese craving this restaurant has a wide variety of yummy food at a great price. It's clean and has friendly staff. I'm definitely coming back for honey walnut shrimp ;)
