  We were delighted to discover this place while looking for Swan Lake Iris Gardens. Our waitress took our order and brought our drinks. Finally after a long, long wait the food was served. Our drinks were now empty and we had neither napkins nor a fork. She quickly walked off. I thought she was going for the flatware, napkins and refills but noooo. She disappeared for quite a while and finally came out with another table's food. I got her attention and ask rather sharply for a napkin (I was pretty frustrated by this time) and was going to say and a refill but she first informed us in no uncertain terms that she had other patrons (she had one other table with two people) and rushed off to get the napkins. When she got back I ask for a refill. She brought it and slammed it on the table. By then the food was gone. We had eaten the friend green tomatoes with our hands. I ordered a coconut slice of cake to go. and we left. The food was alright at best. I had high expectations for the cake. It looked lovely. It was good but nothing special. It was a disappointment.

  Beyond the call of Duty!
  A good friend expectantly passed away on a Friday morning. We went immediately to their house to be there for his wife. I later went to Baker Sweets to get some breakfast sandwiches and muffins for the family. I, in conversation, mentioned what was happening to the nice gentleman taking my order. He immediately got Brett Bishop to come and take my order. A order this big normally needs to be called in ahead of time but Brett and his crew went to work and got me out in about 20 minutes as well has gave me discount because of the situation. Thanks Brett and all the employees' at bakers Sweets for helping us at a bad time. Everyone loved the food.

  5 minute wait while the cleaned a table..half the tables were clean and empty but they decided to make us wait.
  
  7-8 minutes waiting to order coffee...and they got the drink order wrong
  
  Another long wait to place our food order, long wait for the food, breakfast for two served separately (had to wait for her omelet while my food cooled.
  
  40 minutes waiting for breakfast in a small bistro that was half empty and incompetent service.

  At the end of our visit, the owner came by and discussed the encounter. After apologizing for tje service, she gave us the meal gratis.

  The service was excellent; Eric was so nice and went way out of his way; as I had to place an order by phone for my 102 year old mother for Valentine's day. He could not have been more accommodating; as we are sending her chocolate covered with decorative red; strawberries. I will post a picture soon! Sumter is very fortunate to have such a nice bakery; especially the staff. I have been there for treats and coffee my self and their treatment is fabulously wonderful.
